How to Add Subjects, Mark Attendance & Set the Required Goal on the Be-Present App

Keeping track of attendance can often be a time-consuming and manual process, which is prone to human error(s) and, hence recording incorrect data for the users. With the advent of the Be-Present App on smartphones which is very handy to use, this process can be made completely automated and error-free by using the right technologies. 

Add/Edit Subjects as a user and add courses/subjects that you plan to study/teach for a particular semester. To do that, the user will click on “Subject” which would open “+ sign” to add subjects.  

The user enters details like “Course/Subject Name” and “Total Classes” required. On adding a course/subject, all the details are added to the “Subject” menu. Users can also edit the details of already added courses/subjects.  

The Mark Attendance section is about marking student attendance during a regular class schedule. The use case is –the users themselves can mark the attendance as “Present/Absent/(class)Cancelled” on the Be-Present app.  

Set the Required Goal option allows the users to customize the attendance goal set for a minimum required attendance for the opted subjects/course. Select the Subject Display all courses by querying “Your Goal Status” for the user’s info for each subject, where the user can set a desired minimum required attendance/customize that to view the goal achieve in a percentage calculated through the “Total Classes & Attended Classes.”  

Using this feature, the users can filter out the in which subject the absent percentage was above/below the selected threshold value as per the set goal. It helps the users also in a way to keep track of their set goals for the desired minimum attendance for each subject they have enrolled in. All of this can be easily managed by the Be-Present app.
